This Notice should be read with our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions.

1) Your Consent

By enabling microphone/camera access and starting a mock interview session where recording is enabled, you consent to the collection and processing of the data described below for the purposes set out in this Notice and our Privacy Policy.

  • If you do not want audio/video to be recorded, do not start a recording-enabled session (or disable recording where the Platform offers that option).
  • For users aged 13–17, use should be under parent/guardian supervision, and we may require parent/guardian consent where legally required.

2) What We May Capture

Depending on the feature configuration, we may capture and process:

  • Audio from your microphone,
  • Video from your camera,
  • Screen/content you choose to share (if screen sharing is enabled),
  • Session metadata (date/time, duration, device/app details, network quality),
  • Transcripts created from audio (where transcription is enabled),
  • User interactions during the session (e.g., prompts, responses, selected questions),
  • Derived signals for feedback (e.g., pacing, clarity indicators), where enabled.

We do not intend to capture content outside the session, and we do not control your device settings—please review your device permissions.

3) Why We Record/Process This Data

We use recordings and related data to:

  • provide mock interview functionality,
  • generate feedback, coaching suggestions, and skill-gap insights,
  • allow you to replay your session (if replay is enabled),
  • troubleshoot and improve quality (e.g., audio/video stability, latency),
  • maintain safety and platform integrity (e.g., detecting abuse, preventing fraud),
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms where necessary.

4) Your Choices & Controls

Where the Platform supports controls, you may be able to:

  • start/stop a recording at any time,
  • disable microphone/camera permissions in your device settings,
  • delete recordings from your account (subject to verification and technical limitations),
  • request account closure and deletion per our Privacy Policy (subject to lawful retention requirements).

If certain recordings are required for a feature (e.g., replay, coaching history), disabling recording may limit functionality.

5) Sharing of Recordings

We do not publicly display your recordings by default.

Recordings/transcripts may be accessible:

  • to you through your account, and
  • to authorized personnel/service providers strictly as needed for support, safety, and quality, under confidentiality and access controls.

We may share recordings/transcripts:

  • if you explicitly choose to share them (e.g., export/share feature), or
  • if required by law, court order, or lawful request, or to protect rights and safety.

If you choose to share your recordings externally, you are responsible for ensuring you have the rights and permissions to do so.

6) Storage & Retention

We retain recordings and transcripts for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the feature, maintain continuity of learning/coaching, comply with law, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect the Platform.

Retention duration may vary based on:

  • your account status and settings,
  • whether you delete content (where supported),
  • legal, compliance, and security requirements.

We may retain de-identified/aggregated insights longer for analytics and improvement.

7) Security

We maintain reasonable safeguards designed to protect recordings and related data, such as access controls, secure transmission, and restricted internal access. No method of storage or transmission is fully secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8) Do Not Record Others Without Permission

You must not record or upload audio/video that includes other individuals without their consent, or that violates law, privacy rights, or third-party policies. You are responsible for ensuring the content you provide is lawful and appropriate.
